Does the movie 'Cowboys and Aliens' have any basis in truth?

The general consensus by most history authoritities is that Native American people throughout the North American continent all have generated mythological stories of little people based on cultural stories stemming from their spiritual beliefs. This might be the correct explanation, but when you consider all the facts with an open mind, the many stories do fit a pattern that easily could have an alternative, extraterrestrial-visitors connection. So yes, this movie might be surprisingly closer to the real truth about our continent's history than most people realize.

Spirit Mound in South Dakotah is just one example of the many stories of little people handed down for generations by the wise elders of most every Native American tribes. In this case, the beings residing on the only hill in about a thousand square mile area were short, had very large heads, and they protected their hill with small 'arrows' that could kill at a great distance. The details, straight from the Lewis and Clark journals, are fascinating and telling.
